Yes, Slow Spot is completely free to download and use. There are no hidden fees, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

Does Slow Spot require an internet connection?

No. Every meditation session, sound and feature works without an internet connection. The app only contacts our update service on launch to check whether newer app code is available.

Is my data private with Slow Spot?

Your session content, notes, and preferences stay on your device and are not collected. Update requests send the app version, platform, and update channel; the update provider also sees the IP address, as with any internet request.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Slow Spot (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Slow Spot.

Description of Service

Slow Spot is a free meditation and mindfulness application designed to help users practice meditation techniques, breathing exercises, and mindfulness. The App operates entirely offline and includes: guided meditation sessions with multiple techniques, 6 ambient soundscapes, customizable timers, progress tracking, mood journaling, and daily inspirational content. All features are provided free of charge with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertisements.

Eligibility

The App is available to users of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal data, there are no age restrictions. However, parents and guardians should supervise children's use of any digital device. By using the App, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement or that you have obtained parental consent.

License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App on your personal device for personal, non-commercial meditation practice. This license does not allow you to: copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App; reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App; distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the App; use the App for any commercial purpose without written permission; remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.

User-Generated Content

The App allows you to create custom meditation sessions, personal notes, and intentions. All user-generated content remains exclusively on your device. We have no access to your content, do not store it on any servers, and cannot view, collect, or transmit it. You retain full ownership of any content you create within the App.

Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, audio files, and other materials in the App are owned by Slow Spot or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. All ambient sounds are from royalty-free sources and are bundled with the App. Meditation techniques described in the App are based on traditional practices from various cultures and are presented for educational purposes.

Slow Spot is designed for general wellness and relaxation purposes only. The App is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read or experienced in this App. If you have any medical conditions, psychological disorders, or are taking medication, consult your healthcare provider before beginning any meditation practice. Stop using the App immediately and seek medical attention if you experience: dizziness, difficulty breathing, severe anxiety or panic, dissociation or depersonalization, or any other concerning symptoms. Meditation practices may not be suitable for everyone, including those with certain mental health conditions.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We make no representations about the suitability, reliability, or accuracy of the App for any purpose.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SLOW SPOT AND ITS CREATORS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM: your use or inability to use the App; any unauthorized access to or use of the App; any interruption or cessation of the App; any errors or omissions in the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App, which is zero since the App is free.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Slow Spot and its creators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: your use of the App; your violation of these Terms; your violation of any rights of another party; any content you create within the App.

Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated. You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the App from your device. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you will immediately cease, and you must stop using the App.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Terms within the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any updates.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. For users in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Poland, unless local consumer protection laws require otherwise.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Slow Spot regarding the use of the App. Any failure by us to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
